May 15 2016 – Today felt like autumn and even looked like it in parts of the Mid Atlantic. There was actually snow in some of the high mountains of West Virginia and flurries in western Maryland this morning. The clouds and gusty winds kept most of us in the 50s, but Baltimore’s BWI officially hit 60°F for the daily high. That keeps the record of 7 days in the 50s for May out of reach as the inevitable warm up is within sights. But first, there will be frost Monday morning. The official Frost Advisory does NOT include central Maryland or southern PA. But I think there is still reason we could expect frost in some of these areas.
