Thursday July 13
Today will be the peak of our heat. The combination of the highest temperature and dew points will result in Heat Index values over 100ºF this afternoon. The prime area for the Heat Advisory will be along I-95, metro Baltimore/Washington/Philadelphia, and southward through southern Maryland and Delmarva. The risk of heat exhaustion is increased so limiting exposure outdoors and drinking plenty of water is the best advice. also make sure to check frequently on kids, pets, and neighbors. Especially the elderly that may have compromised immune systems. See the severe storm risk below.
- Average High = 88ºF
- Record High = 99ºF in 1966
Any Storms Today?
Perhaps one line in the afternoon and then a second skimming Maryland from southern Pennsylvania overnight
Severe Storm Outlook
Today: High heat could make any storm strong, but the better chance will be Friday with the cold front
Tomorrow: Slight Risk for severe storms
Weekend: Less Humid with Highs 85ºF to 90ºF
