The warm air is so close, but the rain is in the way. Check out the 70s in Virginia this afternoon, on the other side of the band of rain that continues to flow over our region. My son’s team was supposed to have their first baseball practice this afternoon. That has been cancelled. Whether is muddy fields from recent snowmelt or the new rain, it is likely that if your kid has some outside sports activity today they will get wet or it will be canceled. Here is a quick look at the radar simulation.
The flow of rain extends all the way to Texas, but we should get our portion to shift north tonight and Thursday. There is still hope for a dry and warm afternoon for the Orioles Opening Day. But today it is all about the rain.

The rain should move north tomorrow, but we could get a brief shower late morning. Then we will watch to see if the 70s an reach Baltimore. It should at least reach the upper 60s for the start of the opening day ceremonies.
