Today will be the warmest day of the week, and it comes with rain. Showers are with us this morning and will be scattered for much of the day. A cold front might have a brief rumble of thunder tonight, then colder air spills in. The colder outlook brings in the chance for frost later this week as out trend stays colder than average for the next few weeks at least.

After the morning commute, there will be s few dry hours into lunch time. Then the second wave of rain arrives. The heaviest will be tonight with the cold front. This is likely to reach our metro area between 10 PM and midnight.
Cold air will be arriving Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A second push will come in over the weekend. These will bring in the first chances for frost
Rain next weekend will help to bring in even colder air
