Today may be a shock to your system for a few reasons. With daylight there will be a lot of storm assessment from flooding, power outages, and tree damage (Smithsburg was hit hardest). But the actual weather will show an abrupt change. The cold front still has all day to move through, and it will bring an extended period of rain.

In fact, some moderate or heavy bursts are still possible along with temperatures that could be 20 top 25 degrees colder this afternoon… Yes, many of us from central Maryland to southern PA could be in the 60s in the middle of the afternoon. The weekend will clear out and feel great! Check it out…

I wasn’t kidding… High temperatures will be during the morning in the 70s. Here is what we can expect mid afternoon. Mid 60s in central Maryland and north.

With dry air this weekend, it will be cooler. These are metro Baltimore temperatures. It will be cooler northern and western ‘burbs, with mornings in the 50s.  Give your AC units a break!
