Friday October 18 2019

The weather pattern is getting very active and there is no rest for the weary. The strong Nor’easter will be departing but still bringing us a breezy day. As the winds calm with a clear sky, temperatures will cool enough to prompt a Frost Advisory for inland suburbs, and a Freeze Warning farther west in the mountains. The ground may be crispy Saturday morning, but the afternoon will be sunny and mild. Sunday will be wet as a tropical cyclone passes to our south. If it gets named today, it will be called Nestor.

Temperature Outlook

Long Range Outlook: Very Cold By Halloween

I have not discussed the computer model trying to bring snow on Halloween because I didn’t buy it. That early hype happens in many years. But what I do buy is the strong cold force to reach us before the end of the month. The jet stream will send a surge of very cold air our way after next weekend. FITF – soon enough my friend.
