COVID19 State Of Emergency Note About The Weather
It is St. Patrick’s Day and not much celebration to be had. Last night I got a message from a reader saying that ‘with all due respect, the weather doesn’t matter much right now’. I understand some may feel like that. However, I needed to drive yesterday and was surprised how many people are still traveling for work or errands. I did not visit a store other than fill up my gas tank. But plenty of people are still working.
Also, our kids can leave the house. If you have a backyard playground, park or woods to explore, it is OK to walk or hike in small family groups. If you want to exercise, you can go for a run or bike. Until we are directed otherwise, limited activity outside is OK.
I will continue to report the weather for you for a two reasons: First relates to the above. Some segments of society will continue during the State of Emergency. The other, I need to maintain my routine. Establishing some schedule will bring a new sense of normalcy and purpose. If we lose that, time will run much slower. As a parent, a schedule for my kids is needed to keep them from vegging out.
I will post some educational videos and materials for the younger kids as well, just so you can have something else to add to your arsenal. We are in this together and dig in to do what we can for ourselves and each other.
