Some snow showers and flurries are on radar this morning. We are in a weather pattern that skipped us most of the winter, but now it feels like it. The snow is not likely to stick, but you may see the flakes flying through the air this morning, and even some flurries this afternoon. Colder air will bring in a hard freeze Friday morning and a Freeze Watch is in place. Then more rain arrives Friday, which could start with some sleet. But the rain will end Saturday morning.

A Freeze Watch has been issued for inland parts of our region Friday morning. Temperatures are expected to get down below 32ºF for a few hours, which could harm plants and bust garden hoses. This alert will be upgraded later today to Freeze Warning and maybe add in some Frost Advisories as we get closer to the event.
Note, the ECMWF Model brings colder air into the urban areas around I-95. The GFS Model is a little warmer. It’s likely at least a Frost Advisory gets added around I-95 corridor.
When is the typical last freeze or frost?
