Wednesday April 22
Today is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day our small part of the planet almost hit a 145 year old record low. The temperature dropped to 35ºF at BWI, missing the mark of 32ºF, but it felt like it. While we will have sun today, the breeze will be up to 20 mph and temps remain about 10 degrees below normal. So it will feel chilly and sweatshirts or a jacket are suggested.
The big story is our active weather pattern. Two nearly identical weather systems will reach us between Thursday and Sunday. Low Pressure from our west will then feed redevelopment off of the coast. The timing will give us some dry day hours, but it will be soggy after today.
- Today: Mostly sunny, breeze and cool.
- Thursday: Clouds thicken, rain develops in the afternoon.
- Friday: Rainy.
- Saturday: Dry day, rain begins by evening.
- Sunday: Rainy.
