Tropical Storm Fay has been dropping the heaviest rain on Delmarva this morning as expected. The center was identified at 5 AM 65 miles from Ocean City, MD with winds of 50 mph. It’s even close in this 7 AM satellite image. Winds have been reaching 39 mph at the airport in Berlin, but over 40 mph along the beaches.
Tropical Storm Warning has been EXPANDED to include Delaware
The back edge of the clouds seen on satellite reached Baltimore and York. The heavy rain has been over Delmarva and the beaches where Flash Flood Watches are in place.
This location is a little east of the modeling, but a little closer than The National Hurricane Center plot. There is a Flood Advisory for Delmarva for 2 to 4 inches of rain, but the Tropical Storm Warnings are posted for Cape May, NJ to Rhode Island.

Radar Loop (3 hours ending 7 AM)
The heaviest rain is in orange and yellow. Watch that shift west across Delmarva. The back end will get close to the northern Chesapeake Bay. Some stray showers will from west of this core across metro Baltimore and southern PA.
Radar Simulation —> slider
Most of the rain will be confined to Delmarva and the coastal areas. But the back end will get close to the northern Chesapeake Bay. I do not think this model is getting this storm completely. More showers and rain could reach parts of metro Baltimore and southern PA.
Cooler 70s under the influence of Tropical Storm Fay. But 90s remain farther inland.
Humidity will be more comfortable this weekend. The heat wave will reinforce itself next week.
