This is the cold front that will finally give us a break. The high heat and humidity is getting a little push out of the region for a couple of days and the cold front doing it will arrive with some strong storms. The line is moving through the Maryland mountains as of post time (5:30 PM). Here is a quick look at the conditions, satellite and radar loops, and radar simulation.
I’ve added the radar and lightning widget below as well again. We are working to adjust the viewing window, but this may help you track in the short term.
Temperatures at 5 PM
Based on the activity at 5:30 PM, Metro Baltimore can expect showers and storms between 7 PM and midnight.
Storms have the potential to turn severe. The prime threat would be damaging winds, dangerous lightning, and flash flooding.

Once again this model may be underestimating the activity.
I’d watch the suggestion of the line of storms reigniting as it crosses between I-95 and The Bay as seen here tonight. We may get a few hours of beneficial rain to linger past midnight.
