Sunday March 7 2021
We are still in a chilly air mass, but there it light on the horizon. This cold air mass will be sliding off the coast and the warm up is just a few days away. I still see at least one or two days reaching the 70s during the work week, but the balance of powers will try to bring back some hint of winter. Yes, there is a weather system that could still bring us snow and sleet by the end of next weekend.
Morning Surface Weather
I little disturbance may trigger some clouds, but we will have more sunshine that yesterday.
Many areas at least 5 degrees colder than yesterday morning at this time, but we have less wind.
It might feel a little milder in the sun and with less wind, but we remain below our average of 51ºF.
The next weather event on the horizon will be next weekend. I am not a fan of locking into modeling this far away, but I do believe we should watch that cold front next weekend.
There is colder air that will try to drop in, which will feed into a developing storm. Sunday and Monday could bring a wintry mix then chilly rain.
*For any impact from winter precipitation in March, there needs to heavy precipitation falling overnight or early morning. Otherwise, stickage is not likely.
Forecast Animation: Next Friday To Monday
This shows the odds of temperatures getting above or below average, not the actual temperatures. But it does suggest where it may be well above normal.
