Monday April 5 2021
We continue the nice weather that brought the lower 70s on Easter Sunday. However, the weather pattern will be changing this week. You may have seen a rain drop on your weather app almost every day this week. There is some truth to that, but needs explaining as most of the days will be nice.
Morning Surface Weather
The breeze will be increasing today as to storms to our north funnel the air. The Low east of Maine has been retrograding (moving back west) and stalling off the coast.
The system in the Great Lakes will be sending clouds in later today, then a period of showers… but mostly overnight.
The cloud cover last night kept temps mild. No record lows this time… This gives us a good foundation for when the sun returns.
Normal Low in Baltimore: 40ºF; Record 25ºF in 1881
Normal High in Baltimore: 61ºF, Record 84ºF 2010

Sunshine Sate Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
Forecast Snapshot: Central Maryland
Here we see showers entering the picture overnight tonight and Monday night. This may show up as rain on your apps, but most of the days will be dry.
Wednesday we may see more showers…
Pattern Of Showers
This view shows that system over the Great Lakes sending rain showers our way tonight. The timing may work out to send the follow up wave tomorrow at night as well.
The trend for showers will be in spurts, but may become more expansive during the day Wednesday. Our protective bubble should break down with more rain by Friday.
